In my coaching practice I use "Truth Coaching" and 'Gap Technology':
Truth Coaching:
1) provides a gentle but provocative, laser-like mental focus that helps uncover and enliven what is more authentically true for you,
2) provides continual encouragement, direction and psychic space for allowing one to sort through and release the maze of untruth and falseness that has generally been adopted in one's life, and
3) accelerates the process of allowing you to be able to 'afford' to live your deeper, authentic truth in daily life.
Gap Technology:
1) identifies the 'natural' gaps that occur in all areas of our lives: career/calling, relationships, sense of self, etc. and
2) provides knowledge of the nature of the gap [lively emptiness], encouragement, and ongoing support for allowing one to hang out in this gap and mine the gold and gems that naturally exist there.
The level of our Soul represents the most fundamental and profound level of who we are. For most of us, it is not the sense of self we are normally identified with. It is a deeper level of who we are and, usually, only occasionally makes itself known to us, often in the form of deeper intuitive life insights, brilliant creative ideas that we resonate with, and undeniable life callings. For most of us, most of the time, our sense of self is firmly linked with the more surface levels of life and never seems to really bring us deep, lasting fulfillment. One very powerful way to access the deeper, more fulfilling life level of Soul, is to engage in an ongoing process of self truth-telling and wisdom-building.
The subject of truth can be confusing. This is so for a variety of reasons. One reason is that there are many different truths, one for each of us. Each of us sees the world through our own unique mental filter [based upon all our past and present experiences], from our own perspective and each view is true, at least for us. Truth can also be different for us at different times or phases of our life. What's true for us when we are teenagers is certainly different than what's true when we become adults or reach middle age or are facing death, etc. Each truth is true for us at its particular stage or level and these truths can and will change as we grow.
The arena of truth can also be difficult due to the fact that many of us may actually fail to honor and live our deeper, more authentic truth fully. This process of not honoring our truth is part of the current enculturation process. From a very early age, we are encouraged to adopt particular cultural [family, social, institutional] mindsets and behaviors that may or may not match our innate, natural attractions and tendencies in life. We are systematically [although unconsciously], encouraged to adopt these mindsets by our parents, our priests, our teachers, etc. In essence, we end up adopting someone else's truth instead of authentically living our own fully.
Often, we have invested so much in our current personal infra-structure [relationships, occupation, material possessions, self-identity] that we feel it is 'too expensive' to know and live more of our authentic truth. This can feel very discouraging and deadening to Life.
I gently work with you on uncovering, unfolding and being able to afford deeper levels of truth in your life. And just like it has taken an investment to create and develop your current infra-structure, it also takes a great investment in uncovering and living more of your deeper truths. Only in living our deeper authentic life truth will we have a deeper sense of connection, accomplishment and greatness in life.
